Come out and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Chicano Community Program of KUOP radio and the legacy of founder Ed Ramirez, who will be performing with Ramirez Brothers Blues Band, and his successor Mario Hernandez (now deceased), honoring all the dedicated participants and influential programs like “Cho & Lo”, in loving memory of those that have passed including Richard “Cho” Zapata, Robert Navarro, Ponce Ruiz, Joe “Joker” Navarez, and the original broadcasters who are still with us, Richard “Lo” Rios, Rose Zapata, Chris Jimenez, and Betty “La Negra” Lupe Ramirez who is continuing in the spirit of the mission of the CCP with programs like “Sabor Latino”, “La Voz”, and “Noticias y Algo Mas” with Profe. Ismael Cortez on Stockton’s new community radio station, The Voice of Stockton – KXVS Radio.
